My best friend loves Halloween. It's so strange that the most morbid holiday is her favorite because every other month of the year she is very conservative and the sweetest person I know! But when Halloween comes, her inner witch comes out full force! She loves to decorate her house for Halloween. This year she has inspired me to try to do the same. So I went looking for ideas that would help me blow her mind - without blowing my budget! Here's what I found.
Spray paint artificial flowers black for a spooky twist on front porch florals.
Use old white sheets or garbage bags to create a "witches circle" on the front lawn.
Make GOOGLY eyes for your trees out of lanterns and poster board.
Use Milk Containers to Make Spooky Ghost Faces
Put a skeleton in an old crate to spy on your trick or treaters
Use PVC pipe or wooden posts to hang webbing and create your own floating ghouls...
Attach skeletons, or spiders to all over the front of your house....
Put witch and ghost cutouts as shadows in your windows....
Use garbage bags to create a creepy corpse! Eek!
Lastly, buy some plain lanterns and draw your own creepy characters on them!
Halloween is the perfect time to get creative and have a little fun. It's also a great time to do something different with your home decor. If you decorate your home feel free to post on our Facebook page - we'd love to see it!
Be safe and have a great Halloween!
